G-WHO Tippe Widows and Widowers Support pays medical bills for children at KBTH

Driven by a passion to support the less privileged and bring smiles to their faces, G-WHO Tippe Widows and Widowers Support, a Non-Governmental Organisation, has settled the medical bills of several nursing mothers and children of widows at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The generous gesture took place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Children’s Department of the hospital.

Led by H.E. Amb. Dr. Rejoice Wodomdedzi Foli, CEO of G-Wealth Health Organisation, the G-WHO Tippe team committed ¢10,000 to support the widows and nursing mothers. “We allocated ¢4,000 to cover the medical bills and ¢6,000 as financial support to help boost the businesses of individual widows,” Dr. Foli explained.

With the rising cost of living, Dr. Foli emphasized that widows are facing even greater hardships. She added that, while many couples struggle to make ends meet, losing a partner and becoming a widow or widower only worsens one’s financial situation—hence their decision to offer help.

The widows and nursing mothers who benefited from the support expressed deep gratitude, thanking the organisation profusely. The team encouraged them not to lose hope despite their challenges, and urged them to wisely invest the financial support into their businesses, with the goal of becoming self-sufficient.

H.E. Amb. Dr. Rejoice Wodomdedzi Foli was accompanied by Mrs. Emma Wartemberg (Executive Member), Mrs. Annie Doe (Executive Member), and Madam Ivy Amy Lawson (Executive Member).
